That Lightless Lighthouse

Have you seen the sunset from Manila Bay? Always wondered what the land where we see the sun setting actually is and what it looks like? Find out for yourself as we go there for our Holy Week daytrip series no.1!

Sisiman Bay in Mariveles, Bataan is actually a not so well known beach just on the southern tip of Bataan. Photographers however have come to know this place as the sunset from that are grants wonderful photos. Just a bus ride away from Manila, Sisiman Bay is truly a wonderful destination to relax, swim, hike, and hold a photoshoot.

Trip Schedule:

6:00: Call time at Mcdonalds Taft

6:30: Departure to Cubao bus terminal, LRT/MRT

7:00: Arrival at Cubao bus terminal. Departure to Mariveles via bus

10:00: Arrival at BASECO Compound /SSS Building, Mariveles. Depart to Brgy. Sisiman via Tricylce

10:15: Arrival at Brgy. Sisiman. Rent cottages/Pitch tent (?) Lunch. Free time

16:30: Wash up.

17:00: Depart back to BASECO Compound /SSS Building, Mariveles. via Tricycle

17:15: Arrival at BASECO Compound /SSS Building, Mariveles. Depart back to Manila via bus

20:00 Arrival at Cubao, Manila

Things to Bring:

-> Toiletries, Sun Protection, Umbrella

-> Waterproofing (Bag/Ziplock/Plastic layering)

-> Rubber shoes, Slippers, Extra clothes, Cap, Towel

-> Packed lunch and water, and snacks

-> Extra plastic for wet items / trash

-> Trip Budget of P500 (Bring extra for your personal expenses)

*Italicized notes indicate hike specific information

-Because it is Holy Week, we cannot predict the amount of people in the bus terminals therefore please try not to be late.

-We are also looking into securing cars instead of commuting to make travel easier.

-Weather conditions will affect how we go about our trip but as much as possible it will push through.

-Expect that it will be mainit so bring umbrella or sunscreen! -Do bring extra money for personal expenses such as food. -Inform us if you have a medical condition that requires attention in order for us to be prepared beforehand. -Shower rooms are available after the trip
