Clouds Above Zambales

Overnight Camping Trip

Posted on August 12, 2015

Jake Lacquias

Hi guys!

We will be going to Talisayin Cove in Zambales this coming August 29 - 30, 2015. Originally it was supposed to be August 21 - 22 but due to the weather brought about by the typhoon, we had to reschedule.

Talisayin Cove is situated between Anawangin and Nagsasa Cove. It offers less crowds due to only small developments happening on the island. It is more preferred by tourists as a side trip but it does offer good sites for camping. There are huts for rent as rest points and it features a grotto in which the views of the mountains and the cove itself are said to be good.

Notes

-Weather conditions will affect how we go about our trip but as much as possible it will push through. : )

-No need to bring so much food and water before heading to Zambales, our bus drop off is near a market, we can buy all the supplies we need.

-To save on expenses, bring canned goods or something that can be cooked and shared with everyone, we can make a campfire anyway and charcoal or firewood is available.

-For water, bring your own tumbler or jug. We'll just buy a few gallons of water so its cheaper.

-Tents will come from some of us and sharing with everyone is our thing. If ever we can't fit everyone, there are tents for rent at the place.

-There are two available restrooms not sure yet of its quality but it may be better because the island is privately owned.

-Electricity is only availabe from 6pm - 9pm.

-Expect that the cove does not have network services so inform your parents already in order to ease security tension

-The budget is quite tight but of course it covers everything we need already, but for security and reasons, do bring your own personal money for unexpected personal costs.

For concerns and suggestions, feel free to message me!

Cheers!
